WHAT IS MELANOMA? SKIN CANCER?
it's a malignant tumor of melanocytes. Skin cancers include basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, and melanoma. Risk factors are tanning, uv radiation in general. Effects are pretty crappy, if not detected on time and removed, the 5 year survival rate is below 10%. There are no specific age, however "people who begin using tanning devices before age 30 are 75% more likely to develop melanoma" (WHO International Agency for Research on Cancer Monograph Working Group (August 2009). "A Review of Human Carcinogens—Part D:Radiation". The Lancet Oncology 10 (8): 751–2. doi:10.1016/S1470-2045(09)70213-X)
