Is it possible that I have melanoma?

Well Im 11 and i have a black lines on both my index fingers more appearing on my thumb and my middle finger. I kept telling my mom to go to the doctor but she says no. I sometimes bite my index fingernails because of the black lines. but it seems to be under all the layers. I was wondering if i have melanoma and also if there is black lines does nails grow over it? Im not african im filipino.
