Is it a normal mole or melanoma?

I have flat (can't feel it) mole on my body that has uneven edges. It looks kind of like a href="http://www.advancedfoottexas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/melanoma9.jpg," rel="nofollow"http://www.advancedfoottexas.com/wp-cont…/a but more horizontal and it is all one colour and appears to be ONLY a change in colour in the skin, nothing else. My family also has no history with melanoma, and this mole has never been exposed to the sun. It has been there for several years, and has become slightly darker over the last year.
